The Woman Behind the Work

She built the career first. Then she built the life she actually wanted.

Patrice Morris has spent more than twenty years in healthcare — most recently as a Nurse Extern and Patient Care Technician in the emergency department at Northside Hospital – Duluth, while completing her B.S. in Health Science at Southern New Hampshire University. It is the kind of work that teaches a woman exactly how much people can carry, and exactly how little permission most of them ask for before they set some of it down.

That instinct — to build the tool that’s missing rather than wait for someone else to make it — is what led her to certify in aesthetics, botulinum toxin, and dermal fillers through AAAMS, to teach digital literacy part-time at the YWCA Atlanta Digital Skills Academy, and to hold a Georgia Women’s Policy Institute fellowship focused on adolescent mental health access and economic security for women. It is also what led her to write.

Onyx Luxe Life LLC, and its publishing imprint, Onyx Luxe Life Publishing, are where all of it lives under one roof: the clinical precision, the policy lens, the aesthetics training, and the books that say the thing her patients, students, and readers needed someone to finally say out loud.
